Keiran was taken aback by Jynx's outburst. He had no idea how important this night was to her. He tried to apologize, but she wouldn't let him speak. "Maybe if you had cared more about me and less about your fucking beauty sleep, we wouldn't be in this situation!" she said, tears streaming down her face. She turned around and stomped off to their bedroom, slamming the door behind her.

Keiran was left alone, staring at the closed door. He felt like a complete failure. Not only had he forgotten about their anniversary, but he had also hurt Jynx badly. He knew he had to make it up to her, but he wasn't sure how.
